OBAMA, OUR PRESIDENT!!!

“well, well, well!” as Vegeta would say, looks like my expectation came true afterall. Barack Obama has been chosen by the American people to be their president, and it’s a big suprise on the win too.

i thought maybe he would win by 273 electoral votes, but it was beyond that. he beat McCain double his votes!!! as Americans will say, Obama really wooped his ass so bad, McCain had to back down. ahahaha!!! and the look on Sarah Palin, well, sorry, the Hilary tears trick won’t work this time. ahahaha!!!

one thing Americans should know is that the World is now on your side. even in my native country, Dem. Rep. of Congo, people came out in the streets honking and screaming. why? because they feel somehow that Obama will finally hear our cries since none of the previous American president did.  maybe He’s the answer to the civil wars that happens in many African countries.  with Obama having African blood in him, he won’t joke around when it comes to talk business, and he wont hesitate to strike down those who will oppose America.

that’s why i think he will be an incredible leader, and the best U.S. president in United States history. ;D

Tuesday, November 4, 2008!!!

tomorrow is a big day, and i am so excited about it; even though i’m not voting (hint: not a citizen). whatever happens tomorrow will determine our fate for the next 4 yrs, maybe even 8 yrs from now. i’ve lived through a republican administration, and i don’t think i liked it. so, i’m hoping to see a democrat in place and see how things will go. for the record, i’ve known that democrats are better at paying republican’s debts. lol, talk about spending.

well, America, you decide. i’m just a spectactor, and watching how the game will end. Change has come!

I just worked 23 hrs in two days!!

last weekend, i worked 12 hrs on saturday, and 11 hrs on sunday. i’m so tired that i can’t think. i had to cover for someone since he requested off. this is another proof of how bad Mr. W Bush has messed up this country. people are really struggling. even the rich are complaning, and i’m just a student who can’t afford to have $50 bucks at the end of the month.

5 Blogs That Interests Me

i haven’t really found a lot of blogs out there that has any of my interests, but i’ll just name five of them that i have been in it for quite a while.

The Fresh Page:

I’ve discovered this blog website, and it’s all about electronic music. it’s new to me, so i don’t really know how to go around the site, but i think it’s a great site to discover unheard electronic music that are out there. as an artist, i don’t like it because it cost a lot to be a premium member, so i’m just going to be standard member. i need to spend more time to find out if the blog is really worth it.

http://www.thefreshpage.com/blog/

 The Yahoo Newsroom:

this is my number one blog when it comes to get news. i love the Yahoo newsblog because it’s always updated and accurate, as you can see, it’s Yahoo!! it has to be accurate. everyday when i’m online, this is the first thing that i see on my home page, news. i love politics and hate it. i can’t get enough of what’s going on in the world. i don’t want to be ignorant, so i have to stay tuned. that’s why this one made on my list.

 I’M A CHRISTIAN..AND I’M PROUD TO SAY IT!!:

it’s a group blog on Facebook that i spend some time in there. it’s a christian blog where non christians and christians alike can post topics and reponds to it. i love it because there is a large amount of topics. there is a lot of hate and love at the same times. topics about God, death, sex, homosexuality, etc….  you can also meet some people in there just to question, not to get answers, just to bother.

The Best 80s Music:

it’s a blog about some of the best 80s music. i love 80s music, so when i have found out about this post, i fell in love with it. it’s based on a person’s point of view, so i’ll see if what i like is the same as his.

http://must-hear-80s-songs.blogspot.com/

Yahoo Music Blog:

i don’t really follow up with it, but usually i go there when there’s a review over a song or about artists who have past away. it’s okay, but sometimes i don’t believe on some of the post they have there, but they are pretty decent.

Why Has A Long Time Republican Decided To Vote Democrat This Year?

well, i’ve found this post from the Philadelphia Inquirer. the author, Michael Smerconish, put out a very details information as of why McCain was not able to get his vote. in this link http://www.philly.com/inquirer/currents/31242619.html, he put a little details of the 5 tests that McCain has failed:

Terrorism. The candidates disagree as to where to prosecute the war against Islamic fundamentalists. Barack Obama is correct in saying the front line in that battle is not Iraq, it’s the Afghan-Pakistan border. Osama bin Laden crossed that border from Tora Bora in December 2001, and we stopped pursuit. The Bush administration outsourced the hunt for bin Laden and instead invaded Iraq.

No one in Iraq caused the death of 3,000 Americans on 9/11. Our invasion was based on a false predicate, so we have no business being there, regardless of whether the surge is working. Our focus must be the tribal-ruled FATA region in Pakistan. Only recently has our military engaged al-Qaeda there in operations that mirror those Obama was ridiculed for recommending in August 2007.

Last spring, Obama told me: “It’s not that I was opposed to war [in Iraq]. It’s that I felt we had a war that we had not finished.” Even Sen. Joe Lieberman conceded to me last Friday that “the headquarters of our opposition, our enemies today” is the FATA.

Economy. We face economic problems that are incomprehensible to most Americans, certainly they are to me. This is a time to covet intellect, and that begins at the top. Jack Bogle, the legendary founder of the Vanguard Group, told me recently that McCain’s assertion that the fundamentals of the economy were “strong” was the “stupidest statement of 2008.” In light of the unprecedented volatility in the market, who can dispute Bogle’s characterization and the lack of understanding that McCain’s assessment portends?

VP. I opined here that Sarah Palin demonstrated the capacity to be president in her speech to the Republican convention. Sadly, there has been no further exhibition of her abilities, and she remains an unknown quantity. We are left questioning the judgment of a candidate who bypassed his reported preferred choices, Lieberman and former Gov. Tom Ridge, and instead yielded to the whims of the periphery of his party. With two wars and a crumbling economy, Palin is too big of a risk to be a heartbeat away from a presidency held by a 72-year-old man who has battled melanoma. Advantage Joe Biden.

Opportunity. In a speech delivered on Father’s Day, Obama lamented that too many fathers are missing from the lives of too many children and mothers. Look no further than Philadelphia for proof that the nation has a fatherhood problem at the root of its firearms crisis. And no demographic is affected by this confluence of factors like the black community. Among the many elements needed to address this crisis are role models, individuals whom urban youth can aspire to emulate. Little more than a year ago, Charles Barkley told me: “I want young black kids to see Barack on television every day. . . . We need to see more blacks who are intelligent, articulate, and who carry themselves with great dignity.” Obama can be that man.

Hope. Wednesday morning will come and an Obama presidency holds the greatest chance for unifying us here at home and restoring our prestige around the globe. The campaigns have foretold the kind of presidency we can expect from each candidate. Last Friday in Lakeville, Minn., McCain himself had to explain to a supporter who was “scared” of an Obama presidency that those fears were unfounded. Another told McCain that Obama was untrustworthy because he is an “Arab.” Those exchanges were a predictable byproduct of ads against Obama featuring tag lines such as “Too Risky for America” and “Dangerous,” and a failure to rein in individuals at McCain events who highlighted Obama’s middle name, all against a background of Internet lore.

Last Saturday at Progress Plaza, I heard Obama say: “The American people aren’t looking for somebody to divide this country; the American people are looking for someone to lead this country.”

Charis’s Dreaming Tunes (The Singles)

This is Charis, and I present you my singles “Charis’s Dreaming Tunes (Singles)”.  It’s the all new improved sound of the 21st century.  If you liked my first album, just wait for the followings. They will fill you up with goodness.  I will try to give a little description of each track.

Charis Transformed!:  The story behind it is that I made this song as a pump up track kind of feeling. It reflects my cartoon character, Charis, ascending to a superior level of archangels.  The track contains angelic sound mixed with awesome electric piano and natural sound.  Whenever you feel down, this song will ascend you to a higher level.

Yahweh:  This song is inspired by God. I made this for him because he’s my father and he cares for me.  The tune of this song has been in my mind since I was little; similar to my other track “Charis’s Dreaming Tune”.  I call this the Godly sound of music.  There is power behind music, and for those who have God as their father and sufficiency, this song is for you.  This version is the instrumental version. Look forward for the lyric and album version of Yahweh!

Charis’s Dreaming Tune: there is so much to talk about this track, but I’ll say that finally I brought it out of my head. It’s an virtual orchestra that I’ve composed and this is the original version for the single.  I’ve been singing this in my head for 17 yrs.  Crazy, huh? Well, let me know what this song makes you feel.  It helps me go to sleep fast, and it might also do to you too, for you guys with insomnia.

King of The Jungle:  African melody in this one. I made this song for my future project and cartoon about a fictional Bantu king who is supposed to be my ancestor. His name is King Tonguluzu. More info later, don’t want to spoil the story.

Bow Down:  A dramatic hip hop/orchestra sound.  Bow Down is more than just hip hop. I believe there is a message behind the track, even though there is no lyric.  God is the only one to Bow Down to.  God has set his son Jesus Christ over all principalities, so in his name, all things above the world, in the world and under shall surely Bow Down! Oh yeah!

El Shaddai: Hebrew for “Almighty God”. dedicated to my heavenly father El Shaddai.  This word is very power full, and this music just proves it to you. He inspired me to make this sound so those who will hear it can receive mental wholeness and believe that El Shaddai is always there for those who searches him.  And this is the last track in this album.

God bless you, and stay safe.
Charis D.

New Track: “The Fire Burning Inside Me”

yo, on my myspace profile, i’ve uploaded a newer track, called “The Fire Burning Inside Me”. just listen to it and tell me what you think about it.  it’s a melody that i’ve had on my had for a while, and the song sounds kinda dreamy. it’s very relaxing, and has a lot of trance sounds.

here is the link to listen to it:  http://myspace.com/lescherubainsdecharisdondeli

hurry, because the track won’t really last long on my page, because every other week i upload new tracks to keep you posted on what i’m working on. music is fun, and i enjoy making them. ;D

“Mission Accomplished” by Charis Dondeli

okay, this is a lyric that I’ve written some days ago, and i thought maybe i should put it out there so people can check it out. i thank this election year because it has inspired a lot of people. okay, here it goes:

Mission Accomplished:

My fellow Americans;

“We’ve got him”

Mission Accomplished!

Mission Accomplished!

Mission Accomplished about the wrong war.

Mission Accomplished about the wrong cause.

Mission Accomplished about the good fight.

Mission Accomplished to keep us safe.

My fellow citizens;

“He’s still out there!!”

Who?

Osama Bin Laden!!

Mission Accomplished about the wrong guy.

Mission Accomplished to make America look bad.

Mission Accomplished to the weak dollar.

Mission Accomplished to the job loss.

Mission Accomplished? Is it really?

Are you sure, Mr. President?

It’s been six years since I’ve heard that

Don’t we need to retreat if it is finished?

Oh, why do you have to lie, man?

Why do you have to lie?

Stop with the lies, please!

A-ha Music Cover!!

i’ve made recently a music cover of A-ha, my most favorite band in the world. it might not be familiar to those who are not big fans of the band, but i’m sure you’ll able to figure out the tunes.

well, my song cover is called “Never Alone Again”, and it’s on my myspace page. just go to my page and listen to the whole song. but here is a catch (that’s why i said you must be a big fan of A-ha): it’s a cover of A-ha’s early demo. A-ha’s demo songs were made available on their sold out copies of “The Swing of Things” book which included the demo cd. it’s in Norwegian, so you can’t read it. lol. in one of the songs from there, that’s where i got my inspiration.

well, anyway, here is the link: http://myspace.com/lescherubainsdecharisdondeli

play “Never Alone Again”. to give you a hint, listen closely to the bridge of the track. okay, another hint from the lyric of the demo: “…hold me, and give all your love….”. there you have it. ;D

Madonna Music Cover!!!

Is anyone reading this blog a fan of Madonna, or her music?  Well, if you are familiar with her songs, then you should check her music cover at this page:  http://myspace.com/lescherubainsdecharisdondeli

The song on the page is called “My Look of Love”, and it’s a cover of the movie “Who’s That Girl?” soundtrack. The original track is called “The Look of Love”. You can search for it on amazon.com and listen to a clip of it. You can either listen to the original then listen to the cover or vice versa.

Let me know what you think of it. And please, be honest. ;D

My Favorite Online Social Networks!!!

i can remember my first time when i became a member of myspace. i was unfamiliar with it and i didn’t know how thing went. then i got to meet Tila, i’m sure all of you know who she is before she became the mega star of myspace.  myspace was good for me to talk to my friends who are living far away from me. i was a teenager at that time, and i had no money to own a cell phone. so, myspace was a way for me to communicate with my buddies.

now i use myspace for music since i’ve become a music producer.  i have quite a few listeners who come to check my profile daily.  i haven’t had time to actually promote my page since i’m too busy with school and work. with the upgraded version of myspace music, i think it could help me with my promotion.

i use facebook more to get in touch with my friends who are now in college.  it’s much better than myspace because they have an online chat. so whenever you’re online, you can talk to your friends if they show up on the online status.  although i was not happy with the newer version (i accidently upgraded when i looked at my friend’s profile), i kinda got used to it.

Youtube.com is also an awesome site that i love to use to watch videos and even promote mine. http://youtube.com/makaku777

i bet there are more site out there that can lead me to meet new people. i was thinking of the dating website; i forgot its name. yeah, match.com, but i refrained myself because it’s more about dating than just meeting new people. maybe i ought to give it a try and see if i can get any result, but i won’t try to date someone from there because i don’t trust online dating. i prefer meeting a person face to face. physical appearance is more powerful than hiding behind the computer.

Weekend with the French!!!

well, i was so thrilled this weekend because i met some french guys at a liquor store. i’ve lived here in Texas for 8 years, and i have not spoken French nor have i met a French person to speak to.  when i was shopping for a drink, as i was turning around i heard a guy speak in French. as i’m a friendly person, i went toward him and ask him in English, “excuse me, are you guys French?”, and he said “yes.” and then i yelled “Mon Dieu! quelle surprise!”. they were also astonished that i spoke good french to them even though it’s been so many years.

Now, i go around and brag that i have French buddies that i can hang out. so far, they are my only friends that i hang out now because since i’ve been at my new school, i have not had the time to meet new people and hang out with them. maybe i need my Frenchies so i can recall my French speaking abilities.

and the ladies can’t resist us. it seems that this romantic language is so smooth in girls ears that they have got to talk to us. ahahahah!! we had people looking at us at stores, bars like we were movie stars. and those guys are not ashamed to sing French national antheme or screaming in French. well, i’m glad.
